My name is Cameron Hotchkies

I’m a software engineer/technologist living in Portland, Oregon. Currently, I’m a Staff Software Engineer for Block, but all opinions here are both 100% my own, and somewhat questionable.

In the past I was a Security Researcher at TippingPoint’s Zero Day Initiative program. I wrote some SQL injection tools, reverse engineered some things then went back to being an engineer.

I was later an early employee and eventually the VP of Engineering at a mobile payment startup called TabbedOut.

Over the past twenty years I’ve worked on a wide variety of software systems, and projects.

I spend most of my spare time cycling, playing with modular synthesizers.
